I would like to share a short story about genies and take my time telling the tale – so for the next week or so we’ll enjoy a bedtime story designed to wake us up! I’ll tell you what genies believe - FYI – genies used to live in the soular system of “I CANT” in the land of Limitations – there was a revolt away from the darkness and into the Light. So let’s take a couple of minutes and go through a slowed process of how genies make wishes come true. 1. Genies know what they want and why they want it. They don’t worry about the how. They trust that their dreams will come true. They don’t take themselves so seriously. It wouldn’t make sense to not believe in wishes coming true. They understand that they’re perfect as they are and that they can tap into abundance. They don’t listen to the Little Voice that complains and lies to them saying that their wishes won’t come true. They think that Little Voice is funny and is simply a consideration that they consider not real. They know that the Little Voice inside is from the dark side – from limitations, lack, and scarcity and for protection and guidance they pray and acknowledge: 2. “You who illuminate the whole world. Illuminate my heart so it to can do your work. Bestowers of bliss, keepers of the flame ignite the passion within all hearts –radiate the love of one because that is in truth who we all are. One. Slivers of the One source that creates all. We’re a drop that makes up the ocean. The stuff stars are made of. The vibration that is a child’s lullaby. Part of the interconnecting web of all life that is connected to the heart of the Creator of all.” Those thoughts help Genies remember the truth of who they are and that their prayers or blessed intentions are for the good of all. What effects one, in many ways effects everyone and everything and that intentions = wishes. Today I’d love for you to design some prayers. Please write your intentions or wishes here in the blog. It would be astonishing to have a place to come to where prayers are born and shared. A place of lullabies, where promises are kept and everthing smells of chocolate chip cookies and cinniman… come home often, ok? Till tomorrow – sweet dreams. What do you think about what I just said? Please post here. Feel free to share this blog with everyone you know. I envision spreading the conversation world wide. Thanks for participating! Here’s some truth as I experience it – protecting yourself, hiding, guarding, being defensive, playing it safe, that’s not the big game -- it’s not as interesting as being genuine, exposed, naked, awake, compassionate, open, and vulnerable – one creates intimacy and true love the other does not. Guess, which is which? We’ve all been hurt, in pain, and said or thought -- I will not let another person in fully; I refuse to let anyone really get to know me. It hurts too much. I’m scared so I’ll hide. And for the most part we don’t take each other on – it’s like we say without the words to each other – I’ll buy your BS if you’ll buy mine. Let me ask you, “How does that serve you?” “How’s that working for you?” “What’s missing?” Our understanding of our lives is so limited and primitive in comparison with the full miracles we are. Our beings without our input, on autopilot every moment awake or asleep knows to breathe, it’s flowing wakefulness, integrating, expressing, all knowing, distinguishing and deciding, has a sense of I-ness, holds everything together, nourishing and supporting, opposites coexist, diagnoses, has memory, contains an all pervading field of consciousness, is transcendental, conscious, self referral, reverberates, vibrates, expands and contracts, communicates with and without language, omnipresent, enlightened, is invincible, stirring, synthesizing, unfolding, aware, balances, transforms, measures, analyzes, is dynamically creative, heals, flows and is ancient and eternal all this while driving your car, talking on your cell phone and asking the kids to be quiet so you can think where your napkins are to clean up the coffee you spilled on your new suit that you were ripping the tag off while driving with your knees to hold the phone and fuss with your outfit and drink…. And after hearing all this, you still think you need to lose weight, wonder if your lipstick is the right shade, or if your muscles are big enough, or if your pants really go with the shirt you are wearing. Wondering if anyone notices the bags under your eyes, your wrinkles – what funny, tender, sweet ones we are. Self esteem low for almost all of us – we ask for permission to be self expressed. Our voices are weak and non confrontational, living so small in comparison with the magnificence that truly is us out of ego. That voice that says “I’m not doing enough. I should be doing more.” Shut up. Being penetrated with a comment that makes me feel bad about myself – I remind myself that my being is in Spirit’s hands and mine –– no one else. I do not give away my power or buy into someone else’s story that I’m less then anyone or anything. I own my power. Today contemplate where you are hiding out and why? Do you know how to be authentic? Do you take a stand for people and call them on their stuff? Do you allow others in enough to give you honest feedback? Are you able to get past the ego and superficial stuff and realize that you are divine? I’d love your feedback for today’s conversation.. add your post to the blog and feel free to involve your friends and community in this conversation. What do you think about what I just said? If you doubt what I said about us being more like water then rock think what Deepak Chopra says, “Our skin is new every month, our liver every six weeks, and even our brain, with all those valuable cells storing acquired knowledge, changes its content of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen about every twelve months. Day after day, as we inhale and exhale, we give off what were our cells, and take in elements from other organisms to create new cells. All of us are much more like a river than anything frozen in time and space.” So why do we pretend that everything is a certain way. Why do we pretend that everything is stuck and unchanging? My way or the highway. Unchecked and without honest feedback from those who know us we tend to be so rigid, so needing to be right, to fight for our limitations, to be boring, defensive, shut down, small, afraid, dead, passionless, heartless, hollow, shallow, fake, does any of this hit home? No, think again. Think of those who experience you – if they were choosing to be brutally honest wouldn’t they say you’re arrogant, superficial, rigid, traditional, boring, afraid, closed down, dead… what else would they say? Those are the qualities of buying into the nightmare – not the dream. Getting caught up and forgetting who you truly are… most of us are more afraid of being alive then being dead. We get in our own truest way – feeling strangely superior hiding and defending who we we think we are vs. who we truly are under the layers of masks that seem to be acceptable to ourselves and the people around us. So today please contemplate what Deepak says – it is profound. You are new. Do you embrace the new? Are you pretending that everything has to be a certain way? Where are you rigid? Where are you in ruts or stuck? Are you more afraid of being alive then dead? What masks are you wearing? Why? Thanks for adding your insights to the blog. I appreciate the conversation. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves about anything said.. What do you think about what I just said? Please post here. Feel free to share this blog with everyone you know. In truth everything that we consider real flickers in and out of reality in a speck of time we can’t register – like a movie being frames that run so fast the individual pictures seem real, just as we can’t hear what a dog hears, or when we look in a microscope or telescope we’re delighted at the exquisiteness of life that we can’t see with our bare eye. Just as we look at the ocean, or under grass and don’t see the life and when we do we only see one small part. Just as a hawk sees miles and would die in days if s/he relied on our human eyesight. Things really aren’t what they seem. There’s so much more to our human and divine story, isn’t there? Today consider your life as a movie. Watch the characters, the situations, the sets, the plot – life is a play of consciousness according to Muktananda – realize when you close your eyes everything can shift – you can go between worlds if you’d like. I have many experiences where in meditation or a trance like state – I do not see what we call reality. I see black dots on white backround flickering really fast. There is nothing solid… then I re-focus and see my surroundings. I don’t know which is real – if any of it is. We are told by the science community that everything is 99.9% empty. So today also realize that what you experience is a small amount of the “real story” So when you want to be right today – or defend or protect – or spout your beliefs as the only beliefs –stop yourself. Just stop and know there is more to the story. Tell a story if you are inspired today on our blog -- our conversation. What do you think about what I just said? Please post here. Something in us likes to suffer and not learn the value of pain – Our choice -- we can choose to love what is. We’ll have inner peace; relax into whatever is coming up for us. We can shift. We can shift. We can shift. Transform hurt into compassion. We can choose to forgive rather then hold onto anger. We can open our hearts when we’re shut down. We can choose to love rather then live in fear. We are given countless opportunities to be patient, kind, gentle, trusting, and peaceful or not. A lot of times we choose to react, to drink, to numb, to complain, to be in rage, fear, angry, defiant, rebellious, armored – we act the victim, get stressed, have low self esteem and often die unfulfilled. Our armor is a passing memory that we think is solid. And that breaks my heart – wide open. I was on my own when I was 14/15 and I was so shut down and mean – scared really, hurt – desperately sad and terrified to let anyone get to know me. I was described as tough. I was protected – I thought… and until a year and a half ago I really didn’t understand what opening my heart was. I would pray for it, read about it, talk about it, and cried for a long time when I didn’t know who my authentic self was. I had so many layers of hardened, bitter, crunchy, experiences guiding my existence. I couldn’t even take a deep breath. I just knew how to hide and seemed fine, and no one really called my on my stories. Until it became a pathetic way to live – so shut down, angry not even owning up that I was sad, and hurt. Who knows this could be your moment – your moment to shift. For me, I chose to explore deeply and kindly and realized that I was loveable. I could love and be loved. I could explore pain and not run away and under it everything is just waves of love. So today I’d like us to consider what we are open to shift. What in our life is working and what is not working? When are you being on autopilot? Tell us where you are shut down and why please. What is love? What do you think about what I just said? Please post here. We have an opportunity to treat all thoughts as a dream. Not to get attached to any of them. Our thoughts are simply fleeting dreams. We don’t need to grasp, we can let go. It’s no big deal about pain or pleasure, disown it. Let the wind blow through your whole being. All circumstances, and moments we live are simply passing memories. What I just said is a passing memory. The present is fleeting, not solid it’s a projection of the mind. Everything is a dream, a projection – examine the nature of unborn insight – who is having this dream? Who is thinking this thought? Who is hurt? Who are you? Who is asking the question? The Cheshire Cat grinned.. Our thoughts don’t need to be tied up with our identity, to be solid, with a sense of a problem or “that’s just the way things are.” Thoughts are more like water then rock. We are simply living passing memories. We spend so much time fighting the truth. We make the impermanent permanent. We hold onto ideas as a way of grounding us yet there is no ground truly. Nothing is permanent. We hold on. These thoughts are from Pema Chodrin who inspired my own thoughts… then they disappeared. So today think about what you are holding onto. What are you defending? Is it worth it? To be right – to make someone feel wrong... Unless they’ve mastered letting things go and not caring who is right or wrong – there is pain and distance created. So today hum – “Row, row you boat… life is but a dream…” Replay these thoughts – they are rich and will lead to a lot of questions.. and answers and then they will all disappear… please post your thoughts to the blog to continues today’s conversation. Please come to our websites to get involved! What do you think about what I just said? If you think anything often enough it will become a belief, then a habit, then you’ll own it and defend the thought. You’ll think it’s true. It will become your reality. You’re surprised? Really? Cause you got what you wished for -- all in one moment of time. That’s all it took to have your wish come true. You activate 60,000 of those wishes a day. Very few of our 60,000 thoughts/wishes are spent on knowing that we are perfect as we are right now. Yet that’s the truth. A hundred foot tree doesn’t have a human mind/ego and think it’s a 10 foot tree nor does it focus on “Oh my God, my branches are way to skinny. I’m so sappy and will you look at my thick trunk and wrinkly, knarled skin. So for now you’re not human – you’re a tree. Much easier to communicate that way… imagination and the world of dreams has no boundaries – it can easily conceive the notion that you truly are perfect right now. Shhhhh, don’t think. You’re a tree. You’re a tree. Notice when I said you’re a tree – you had a vision of what a tree is. You came from the past and accessed your inner files and said, “ah yes, this is a tree.” Not, “they call this a tree.” Which would come from a new place, in wonder, seeing it new, making it up in the moment and acknowledging that someone calls it a tree – someone defined this as a tree and we, as a collective accept it as such. So some part of us, hears from an old place, a confidant, almost arrogant place of “duh, of course this is a tree.” We may not even envision the most glorious tree we’ve ever seen, fewer still will make up what a tree is in the moment. A tree could be a dancer in a masquerade wearing a snow stole painted by a red sunset, dripping diamonds, and the tree spirit leads others into a lullaby to put the animals to bed. She stretches her body toward the clouds so the birds nest there, and she kisses God or the Creator saying, Thank you, thank you, thank you for another magnificent lifetime right now… or she could be that 100 foot tree thinking she’s 10 feet tall, and her branches are too skinny, and her trunk is too thick, and her skin is wrinkly, and knarled. Her choice. Your choice. Nothing is real. Everything is a projection—examine the nature of unborn insight – who is thinking the thought? Who is the dreamer behind the dream? Everything is a verb yet we think everything is a noun. Everything is a verb. Life is not a rock it is water. Nothing is here till you say it is. The world you perceive is the world that exists. So today watch what you assume. People will talk to you all day today – and you will think you know what they are saying – your brain will filter based on your limited experience or perceptions—it takes in what it knows and makes it so. Today I ask that you question what you think you know. What are you pretending not to know? What are you assuming? Think of a cat. Everyone I would ask that of has a different image of a cat. That is only one word. There are so many variations to one word… So I guess that being said – make everything sublime, magical, the best, the most unique, creative, new – new to you so you stretch and involve your imagination in your conversations. I’d like you to post what you discover on the blog please. What do you think about what I just said? If there was a genie in front of you – what would you wish for? Make a wish one that you really want to come true. Experience yourself having that wish come true. How do you feel? Are you excited? Passionate about it? If you were a dog would your tail be wagging? Guess what – your wish has been granted. I’m a genie. All of us are. We think 60,000 thoughts a day. That is about one a second! What are you focused on? Sometimes we’re mindful – sometimes we’re not. All thoughts are equal to the subconscious. What we call imaginary is its reality. Imagine sucking on a juicy, big, lemon. Sour got its name from this taste of lemon. Did you pucker up? You mean you can’t tell the difference between real and imaginary? Imagine that! Imagine after every thought you say – As you wish. “I’m a genie. As you wish.” So you can say, "I am a Millionaire." - follow that thought with "As You Wish" or you can say, "Who wants to be a millionaire? It won't happen for me." Follow that with "As You Wish!" Get it? Now you’ve chosen to consciously be a genie. By the way you look marvelous! You’ll act, believe, think, feel, activate, attract, manifest, do, have and commit to being a genie. Your wish - your thought is your command. Your word is law! Things happen cause you say so. Yes it's a lot of responsibility. You are creating, manufacuturing your life moment by moment, choice by choice. Now you are choosing to be aware, right?! By saying, "As you Wish." You can make sure that the thoughts you have are the ones you really want to realize. They are powerful attractors. So right now I’d like you please to watch your thoughts. After one you can say “Thought.” It will help you realize that you are simply thinking. The thought may be telling the truth or it might not be. Just cause your thinking doesn’t make it real, does it? Practice thinking that your thoughts are like the wishes that genies have – they are that potent – what you say is law. If you like this kind of conversation then please join us on free calls - check out the sites below. What do you think about what I just said?
